WOPSI
The World Politics of Social Investment
Conference at LIEPP, Sciences Po
Paris – June 29th, 2018
Organized by:
Julian L. Garritzmann (University of Konstanz / University of Zurich)
Silja Häusermann (University of Zurich)
Bruno Palier (Sciences Po, Paris)
Important note: To use our joint time most effectively, we ask all participants to read all papers in advance. The papers will be presented only very briefly by the discussants. That is, we will go by the “Korpi-rule”: paper-givers will not (!) presented their own papers. Discussants will present and comment on the papers. Discussants have 15-20 min to present and discuss the paper. We assigned 50 mins for each paper so that we have plenty of time for discussion. The main idea for the workshop is not for authors to ‘defend’ their papers, but rather to get as much feedback as possible to further improve the papers and the coherence of the books.
